About Game Master Society

Built around strong tables and better stories.

Game Master Society is an independent tabletop roleplaying organization based in Manchester, Connecticut. We help players find welcoming games run by skilled local Game Masters, with Discord serving as our main community hub.

Our Story

Why Game Master Society Exists

Game Master Society grew out of prior local tabletop programming and is now an independent organization. The goal is simple: help more people find great tables, support skilled Game Masters, and make it easier for players to understand what kind of experience they are joining.

01

A clear place to start

New and returning players should be able to see what is running, what is recruiting, and how to connect with the Game Master running a table.

02

Support for Game Masters

GMS gives affiliated Game Masters a more professional way to present their adventures, share expectations, and connect with players looking for reliable games.

03

A community-first model

Discord remains the main community space where games are organized, questions are answered, and tables take shape.

Values

What We Stand For

Better stories come from better tables. That means clear communication, welcoming play, thoughtful facilitation, and a shared respect for the people at the table.

01

Welcoming tables

Players should feel invited into the experience, understand what kind of game they are joining, and know where to go when they have questions.

02

Clear expectations

Strong listings, practical table standards, and direct communication help players and Game Masters start from the same page.

03

Collaborative storytelling

Great games are built with players, not just for them. Different tables want different things, and different Game Masters bring different strengths to the craft.

Play

What We Play

Game Master Society supports a range of tabletop roleplaying games depending on the Game Master, the adventure, and the players involved. Some tables lean heroic fantasy. Others dive into horror, mystery, roleplay, strange settings, or short-form events.

01

Fantasy adventures

Dungeons & Dragons and other fantasy systems remain a major part of the lineup, from classic adventure stories to stranger, more experimental settings.

02

Horror and mystery

Investigative and horror-driven games have a strong place here too, especially for players who enjoy atmosphere, tension, secrets, and slow-building dread.

03

Short and long formats

GMS listings may include one-shots, short adventures, and longer campaigns, making it easier for players to find something that fits their schedule and interests.
